I remember the first time I liked a girl, she went to my school, she had really pretty eyes and her name was Charlotte. I still remember her eyes.  Green as grass with little rings around the centre, they were the kind of eyes that made me think “everything must look amazing through her eyes”.  I was young and diddn’t fully understand girls, I still dont, but I was confused by this.  One day I worked up the courage to tell Charlotte about how I thought her eyes were pretty and that everything must look cool through them.  I thought she would be happy to hear something nice like that about her.  I was wrong.  ”you dont have a chance dick!” she said.  I lay in bed that night so confused, how could someone with such pretty eyes be so mean?.  I diddn’t want ‘a chance” I just wanted her to know that I thought she had pretty eyes.  Im not sure what I learnt from this, maybe some pretty girls know they are pretty and dont need to be told? Its the pretty girls that dont know how pretty they are that I decided to look for after that.
