Revenge (optional)
The young man was hurt.
He felt like the earth had stopped and that what was once so real suddenly became questionable. He hurt for a reason, only he knew why, only he could feel his pain and only he could hear his thoughts.
They used to smoke joints in the back yard, they used to sit up against the back shed.
Fixated on a part of the back shed that had no specific features, he decides his revenge. Plant a seed. A seed of doubt? or seed of hope? No, an actual seed.
Trees grow, he put a seed under her foundations knowing that one day that seed will grow, and when it does it’s going to fuck things up. He waters it with his mind every day, knowing the seed is there helps him cope, when he is old and grey and she is nothing but a memory, as he slips into death, he smiles, then starts laughing saying “revenge is best served long and suspiciously” and he dies with an image of her, with a tree growing through her feet and out her mouth “wearing” her like a tight shirt.
